No problem. I came back in one piece.
I had friends and relatives who weren't so fortunate in the war. I see the world in shades of gray, and having been in that conflict has a lot to do with my worldview, needless to say. Soon after returning home, I read a book written in that era that I highly recommend. Denis Warner, the author, was a significant correspondent during the conflict, and his insights have been important to my thinking about the war.
