Hey, part of the beauty of this country is your right
to have that opinion. Your opinion is wrong in this case -- every bit as wrong as those who ignore basic science to support whatever emotional argument they may cling to in other cases. But you're allowed to have it.
They are men and woman over there working their tails off in farms and facilities that have significant financial investments and as sophisticated agriculture development as any in the world. They are transparent in their work and there are eyes on them (as there are all over the world) from any number of 3rd party agencies who operate in our industries and others like us. Everybody understands what it means to have proper facilities, water, feed, etc... This is food they are not only shipping all over the world, but products they (and we) feed to their own children. I'm not trying to offend you, but it borders on dehumanizing to suggest that there is something almost inherently impossible about people in south or east asia that somehow means they do not know how to provide "clean" products or the importance of food safety. It does NOT mean that all things are always 100% perfect with every single aspect in any industry or any place all the time. That doesn't exist with food production anywhere in the world, including this country. And again, I get the perception -- it would be hard for me to blame anybody on certain general opinions based on what you can find on the internet. However, I am just respectfully telling you that your opinion is not based on fact at all. In terms of them "keeping their own fish" -- we can certainly tell them and all countries to keep their own things like this. There are certainly some who adhere to that kind of policy.
