Wilson actually cares for the family
There's no hook to let her off of. She was with the grieving widow and mother when the call was made. That isn't politicizing it, that's showing empathy. She knew the family personally. Then she was pissed at what Trump did to the family. How does Wilson get any blame for this?
I get the 'we should move on' idea, but Trump was tweeting about Wilson SECRETLY listening in. Trump started the story and keeps fanning the flames. It would go away if he'd move on, but he can't. So he brings in his Chief of Staff's dead son into the conversation (did he ask Kelly about whether that was appropriate?), and now keeps trashing Wilson who is simply defending a grieving family (and herself). The White House needs to shut up about the story, so we can move on to figuring out what the heck happened in Niger. We don't need to go Benghazi on the story, but it would be nice to know what happened.
