Precisely. Net Neutrality gets us closer to a free market in a sector where

the government has already erected barriers to competition. In an ideal world, regulators would allow rivals to move in on ISP fiefdoms, and loosen regulations where there was competitive pressure.

In the current distorted market, however, Net Neutrality is the closest thing to a fix. One of the largest disruptors to traditional players has been Netflix, and their long battle was one of the driving forces behind Net Neutrality.

If there is any solace, it's knowing that people supporting this rollback will be dicked over just as hard as everyone else in the coming years.
