The GOP was investigating anything they could get their hands on

The only thing that stuck was a lie about a consensual affair under oath. It's funny because the complaints from Trumpies about the Trump investigation are similar to complaints from dems back then, when many of these same Trumpies were all about just getting Bill.

They did finally get him, in a lie about a consensual affair, which is awfully difficult to fit into the Constitutional definition of a high crime. The difference with Trump is the dems sometimes act like they've got their proof when they don't. The bar for impeaching, and overturning an election, is extremely high. It hasn't come close to being met.

But if it were to be, it would meet most people's definition of a high crime or misdemeanor. Unlike a lie about an affair.
