And Tuck is not really a fire breathing, all in Trumpie, I don't think.
I think there are a lot of Tucks out there who will probably be pre-disposed against just about any dem, and will find reasons to vote for Trump. I won't be floored if Trump wins again.
It is a complete unknown right now. I never agree that the economy is likely to do anything in particular in 3 or 5 years. Certainly we'll have a recession again sometime, but judging timing and severity is close to a crap shoot. If the dems can pull back the House next year, especially if in a bit of a rout, that could change things. Maybe the repubs will want to take their party back from the Bannonists.
We'll see how things look in a few years, but my advice to dems and all anti-Trumpies - assume its an uphill battle.
And I also would not be surprised to see a populist surge on the dem side, which would be towards the far left. Who knows what that outcome would be? Anti-Trumpies like me would have a hard time voting for someone we think of as a socialist, even if we like the candidate personally (I don't quite see how I could vote for Bernie, although I like him, comparatively speaking).
