Yes, I think that was Biden's only point. He was pushing his public option

to opt in to Medicare at the moment, and as such was just saying those currently on private could stay there if they so chose (as opposed to Bernie/Fauxcahontas/Kamala(eventually) plans).

Still may not be wise for Creepy Joe to bring that line back into the voters minds however. Nor does it explain exactly what Joe intends with his public option and how it will be paid for. If he's planning to let Julian's grandma, or anyone that "can't afford it" to just hop on that gravy train, he's going to need to explain how that will be paid for, and how the privates can continue to exist if we're all given that "option" without having paid in for 40+ yrs as you have for standard Medicare.

I have no issue with a public option to buy into Medicare, even think it's a good idea, but you need to buy in at the full rate just like an exchange plan.
