There are quite a few people already asking what Cippilone knew and when. The White House Counsel's office is presumably part of any book vetting process like this. If he's been arguing in front of the Senate that there are no eye witnesses to corroborate the aid was withheld in exchange for investigations into Biden, when he knew since Dec 30 (or thereabouts since that's when the WH received their copy of the book),then I suppose he could be in a little hot water for that. I guess knowingly lying to Senate is considered uncouth.

There are also questions about what McConnell knew about this and when, since he's made it explicitly clear that he is working hand in glove with the President's defense team. Did he also know there is a first hand witnesses out there who says exactly what the President's defense team says no first hand witnesses can say? Was he facilitating this lie to his own Senate? Inquiring minds want to know...
