Because he doesn't want to risk losing future US aid

that Ukraine desperately needs to fight off Russian invasion?

Zelensky knows, like the rest of us, that Trump will be acquitted by the Republican Senate. If he says anything negative about Trump, then for the rest of Trump's first term and a potential second term, Zelensky knows Ukraine would get $0 from the US.

You support a man who lies about anything and everything under the sun (16,000+ lies & misleading statements in his first 3 years as President according to the WaPo tracker), but you don't think the president of Ukraine would be willing to tell one lie to protect the sovereignty of his country?

I'm not saying for sure that Zelensky IS lying - we don't know either say, but to assume that he's definitely telling the truth is completely disingenuous.
