Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer cards (link)


The cards were mailed out by the school districts. Families who had children in school who received free or discounted lunch received them. No one had to apply. They just mailed them out. In some cases it’s more efficient to give every kid in the school free breakfast and lunch and not qualify anyone. In those cases every family with a kid in the school received a P-EBT card without regard to need.
