He taught AP classes at a magnet high school and had serious reservations about putting his kids in public school.

I ran into him a few years later to ask what he ended up choosing and he said he got a job at a private school so his kids could get free tuition there.


The problem here is that kids aren’t getting homeschooled in the traditional sense with a teacher guiding them. A good teacher makes all the difference in the world, and current teachers don’t really have the experience of being virtual teachers. We are going to have a generation of kids set back by this if we can’t solve this virus.
