America has been and is a great country and far greater than the average

country but I don't know by what metric it is the greatest. OK GDP, but not per capita GDP. Not education, not health care, not life expectancy, not happiness, not crime rates.

Let me draw a distinction between "America", her ideals and her constitution, and Americans. When I say America I mean as put into practice by her people. I don't think Americans are generally particularly nice to strangers. The nicest, most willing to go out of their way people I have met have been in Italy and Malaysia. I don't think Americans are the nicest to each other. I guess I can't really speak to how nice foreigners are to others of their nationality, but I don't think Americans are very nice to each other. As I said in my previous post, I think Americans are generally selfish, self absorbed and unaware. Americans are not worthy of their constitution.
