Absolutely not. I agree with Trump(god forbid) the US does carry too much
of the load of military in NATO. But we don't make NATO any more secure by ignoring and chastizing our allies. We should be leveraging our alliances to secure better trading positions, increase our global influence, and put greater pressure on non-NATO bad actors. And yes, we should be pushing NATO allies to spend more on their own defense, but we also have to recognize that we occupy the other extreme, and a cut in US military spending isn't going to cause the sky to fall. There are billions of dollars we throw at the military in many wasteful and unnecessary capacities that could be much better spent elsewhere.
