course then you'll see Obama wasn't even keeping up with inflation at the end (FY16 was below FY15 when adjusted for inflation) and that despite these "unnecessary" tax cuts, FY19 was essentially right back where FY16 was, and right above FY17 (before cuts), even after adjusting for inflation.

So yes, our revenues are still above where they were before the cuts, and are growing faster than they were before the cuts. When you then add the fact that our spending growth exceeded what our deficits grew over that same pre-covid period, there is simply no way you can blame those deficit increases on our "unnecessary" tax cuts.

I get that's the oft repeated talking point of the Dems, and they still want to tell themselves the laughable predictions that tax cuts would add $1.5T to the debt are actually "fact", the actual facts simply don't support it.
