If I still have some time left on my day as King, no I'm not sure my simplistic formula could be applied to entitlements. For SS I would definitely raise the retirement ages for qualifying, and probably raise, but not necessarily eliminate the cap on wages taxed. I would also probably move the disability portion of that to the general fund and keep it separate from the core of SS. For Medicare/Aid, I don't think there is any question those taxes have to go up, and probably by a lot! No way 2.9% is going to get it done. (but with that said, I'm already resigned to Medicaid for All being a question of when, not if)
