have masks there. But that's pointless if the group think is not to wear masks or mock those that do. I actually thought it would've been smart from the start to hand out MAGA 2020 masks so that was all you saw when CNN, etc. had to show the crowds.

And by messaging being horrible, I wasn't suggesting they should continue believing/advocating it was just like the flu, but lie and speak differently. I meant the messaging they believed and delivered was horrible, but I think the execution they delivered in terms of activating the private and public sectors in getting tests, ventilators, PPE, and ultimately vaccines to market was solid, if not better than we could've expected from Biden or someone else, while the messaging about masks, the seriousness, etc. was horrible (and as an aside allowed the MSM and Dems to control the narrative, and probably ultimately cost him the election).

While I'm surely not going to diminish the 400K deaths we're going to hit any minute, they let the narrative on this be as if Covid was AIDS, Ebola, or whatever, when in reality, for most of us that aren't over 75 or with severe comorbidities, it is basically "like the flu". So I understood why the administration was pushing back on that narrative, or being the eternal optimist as Trump said, because we should've been having honest discussions about what it really is, and how to best balance our approach to minimize the health effects with the economic and mental health effects, while trying to determine where to fall between the GA/FL/TX etc. approach and that taken in CA/NY/IL etc.
