We had a very good discussion about it on The Corner.

It appears UVA overstepped their bounds unless parts of the story were left out. The suspended student appears to have a legitimate gripe and most posters agree. However, let's also include that 3/4 complaints were thrown out by the Courts. It's the 1st Amendment argument that's held up.

There's also the other issue of "microaggression." I kind of got what it is but it's still vague ... which ironically was the suspended student's question as well. Maybe it's a generational thing, but being an asshole is not illegal. Threats are threats ... battery is battery ... racism is racism ... but in my opinion, microaggression is being an asshole which is not illegal or punishable.
