Highly likely, IMO, that this stuff accelerates, with red and blue areas sticking more and more to themselves. I don’t see a break up of the U.S. on the near-term horizon, but I do see states and localities becoming more important and powerful in our daily lives. People want to live how they want to live, and stronger state/local government facilitates that, IMO, while helping us avoid the big break up. I think of it as a pressure release valve from federal overreach.
