The 2nd Amendment guarantees that anyone can own an assault rifle?

That there cannot be background checks? That someone who can't get on a plane because they are on a terrorist watch list can buy a gun? That there can't be licensing for fire arms? That there can't be thorough background checks, no exceptions? That there can't be age restrictions?

My strict constructionist friends (used to be conservatives, but in the age of Trump, the word "conservative" itself lost its political moorings) would agree that only judicial interpretation itself makes the 2nd amendment apply to individual citizens, as opposed to "well regulated militias".

So of course, like your entire thesis at the top of this thread, you are trying to boil a question down to a simplistic, yes or no, all or nothing basis. But that simple black and white world only exists in the minds of silly partisans, who are, maybe, finally seeing the political tide on guns move against them.
