Let's try these one by one

Own an assault rifle. There is no such thing as an assault rifle. It is a convenient, definition-less term used by the MSM to describe anything that looks roughly like an AR-15. Which, by-the-way, stands for Armalite Rifle, not Assault Rifle.

That there cannot be background checks. There are background checks. It is impossible to buy a gun from any gun dealer without going through a background check. Yes, even at a gun show. The only "loophole" per se is one private individual can choose to sell their property to another private individual. (Personally, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if all firearm transactions, even between private citizens, went through an FFL).

That someone on the terrorist watch list can buy a gun. This one is tricky. If you want to deny someone the right to buy a gun, you are denying them a Constitutional right. To deny someone a Constitutional right, they MUST have due process. The terrorist watch list skips the whole due process thing (you can land on that list without a trial or hearing, and are never given the chance to defend yourself). So yes, the Constitution does prohibit this. But I also think the whole terrorist watch list itself is Unconstitutional.

Thorough background checks and licensing. I have no issue with this, so I have no valid counterpoint. My only issue would be that the background check can only key off court records. You can't search people's medical history (even their mental health) without a warrant, and just being accused of something can't be just cause to deny a Constitutional right. But if a court says you are guilty of a felony or mentally unfit, you shouldn't get to buy a gun.

Age restrictions. Most states do have an age restriction on handgun purchases. But requiring a hunting or sport shooting license to have a gun if you are under 18 would make sense.

While I am pro-gun, I also think owning a gun is a significant responsibility. And those who choose to own a gun should have to prove they can be responsible gun owners. So among the gun-nuts, I am a rare bird that doesn't have issues with licensing, background checks, and firearm registration. But in keeping with the "guns don't kill people, people kill people" mantra, I do not believe the guns themselves need any new regulation (except maybe bump stocks...those are stupid). I think the gun owners (i.e. the people who kill people) do need some new regulation.
