Because as I understand it, in Washington anyway which has the law, a


family member or law enforcement must request the restraining warrant beforehand, just as VP Pence described it in the meeting before Herr Trump jumped in with his stupid comments. As Sen. Sasse said in a statement after the meeting, “We’re not ditching any Constitutional protections simply because the last person the president talked to today doesn’t like them.”

Look, I want gun control. But Trump is all over the place and his contempt for the rule of law generally is a pattern. Don't make excuses for the SOB.
