but yeah, nationwide concealed carry would probably be a deal-killer for me. I saw some of the meeting yesterday, and there was a point where Trump actually admonished one of the repubs for a demand like that, saying basically "the dems won't go for that, so don't try, we have to get something done". So let's wait and see.

Look, I'm pretty libertarian on immigration - I think almost all of the politics against it are fear mongering bullshit. I'd be inclined to have pretty liberal legal immigration limits, and I don't recall seeing anything that, as a lawmaker, I wouldn't have signed on for to prevent a true evil on the dreamers. And on that, Trump offered more than I would even have asked for, by including those who did not sign up for DACA and offering a certain path to citizenship.
