You know what, he is in a sense a brilliant public speaker.

He excites people's passions like nobody's business. For him or against him. The paradox is he is also amazingly inarticulate, particularly if expressing nuance. He doesn't do nuance very well.

So I think its just Trump being Trump. Doesn't really bother me.
