Not much discussion here about the California
wildfires (not that there should be a political angle to it), but man, what a horrific situation. 8,700 houses burned, 56 confirmed dead and nearly 300 still missing. I can't even imagine the horror of that situation.
If you live in an area prone to wildfires, how do you even prepare for something like this which spread so quickly... and are there things that can be done to more quickly contain wildfires and expedite evacuations? Or do we just need to restrict development in such fire prone areas with limited ability to evacuate everyone on such short notice?
