Right. Its not really trees/woods but grassy/scrub type areas that are
super dry and/or dying out---providing fuel for these fires. Then add in the suppression of possible fires and this "fuel" builds up until there is a larger fire that cannot be easily contained.
P.S. And cutting down trees will just allow more invasive type species and/or grasses and shrubs( easily burnable) to move in and keep it all going... [Post edited by THECZAR at 11/15/2018 11:55AM]
