means of production as has been pointed out here ad nauseam. But neither do we necessarily want corporations to call the shots with government or to use governmental authority to sustain their economic power. See agribusinesses and ag subsidies, the coal industry and relaxation of environmental standards (they're still failing). On the other hand, sometimes it is prudent to do so because the alternative is not tenable. Bailout of Wall Street or the auto industry, for example.

Now...are all of those examples of socialism? Or is it just free college and government-backed health insurance?
