I'm one of those who hates deficits, but in his defense, I'm not
sure what else he could do regarding the first stimulus. This was an unprecedented event.
Of course, if we had just behaved responsibly as a country, this second round of stimulus might be a lot less, and he does bear responsibility for having his supporters openly resist common sense measures.
Also, the first tax cut bill was completely irresponsible with 80%+ of that going to the top 1% with the trickle down theory. I have no idea why Trump supporters, most of whom are not in the top 1%, supported that nonsense.
So yes, he bears some responsibility, but some would have been incurred regardless of President.
