defense (as shown by the 30 Ds who voted to uphold the veto of the defense budget because it was too big in their opinions), The other wants to cut social programs. Therefore, nothing is cut. It's time to acknowledge spending won't be cut. It's time to pay the piper. It's time to end Voodoo Economics (as the senior Bush called it). It's time to raise taxes back to the level the were under the senior Bush. Put a proviso on it that at least 85% of the additional revenue must go to debt reduction.
I read that had payroll taxes been raised by the small percentage proposed somewhere back in the 80s, it would be fully funded by now.
