want a democracy anymore. They want their side to be in charge all the time. Not being critical. Just stating what I believe is a fact.

My opinion. The Republican Party is in decline. The percentage of the population that is white is in decline. Rather than try to change their platform to something that would be more popular the Reps instead tried to decrease the popularity of the opposition. (This approach is not one used only by the Republicans obviously.) This demonization of the opposition has caused the divide that we now see.

If democracy in the US is to continue we will need to start recognizing differences and celebrating similarities/successes. Just throwing them in jail is not the solution - though it is certainly required. You cannot beat terrorism in that way.
