like this, it overreaches and begins losing control 2 years later. Dems should be a little more circumspect - as much as they are on top of the world now, they did lose ground in the House, and if Trump had acted like the president of a democracy when he lost, they'd have lost one or both of the GA runoffs (IMO). I think they should govern as though:

- in the pres race, they benefited more from strong anti-Trump sentiment than any policies or messaging they crafted in the campaign

- something cost them the blue wave that so many were expecting in Congress and the states. I have my ideas; there are a number of suspects

- therefore, do not overreach - use this brief moment of control in DC to govern as though they have something to prove and "win back" - not as though they have some mandate to run roughshod over their opposition.

Like an addict hitting rock bottom, the country has an oppty right now.
