I think it is quite reasonable to have a problem with those in #1

at this point -- for a number of reasons. There are libraries of vaccine literature in very accessible form that speak to all of those concerns. Quick examples include factual, open minded presentations about what kind of actual safety testing has in fact taken place with these vaccines (compared to all others since vaccines were invented) as well as relative risk of anything that could even theoretically happen at this point to a person's body in the long term (and side effects - related to the history of how/when side effects manifest with vaccines) vs what we are seeing happen with COVID -- including however rarely with 100% healthy adults and children. I get the perceptions and understand how the relativly fast timeline of development plays into concerns, but there is so much out there that respectfully addresses people perceptions even on these issues. But for a much larger percentage compared to other vaccines, people are choosing to reject every aspect of the most credible knowledge out there -- with the biggest reason imo seemingly being what we are becoming as a society in terms of how we get and process information today. I think it is ok to say "this is just wrong".

I don't mean "having a problem" with this should translate to the ugliest personal depths. We still need to treat others with civility. But I think it is more than reasonable to still "have a problem" with all of the thinking related to #1 as there seems little more that can or will ever really be acceptable to an astonishingly large group of people.

Thus, I admit my first reaction to a story like this of a peak healthy person going down (and I know others firsthand as well) -- rather than "ugh..oh well, such bad luck" -- is sadness for them but frustration and at least some anger. In addition to being really incorrect analysis about the vaccines on every front, there is intense pressure on health care workers and systems in many places.

Addendum: Good to hear you have had some personal success with what you define as #2. I have as well, although I'm not sure if I see a #2 group quite the same way. I think #2 isn't so much an "f-off" group but more naturally nervous like #1 -- just willing to keep an open mind and getting scared themselves. I also think some definition of #3 -- a larger "f-off" group and just a seething hatred and belief that virtually every aspect of COVID is a lie -- is potentially larger than I'd like to believe. I hope this is wrong.
