I haven't commented much on the VA governor race for that reason; I simply


don't have a dog in that hunt. I don't know what topics most concern Virginians nowadays, but I can't imagine any state that has made the progress Virginia has moving to elect a quasi-Trumpist. The Virginia GOP seems to have trended as extreme as everywhere else in the country. But is it a majority there? I guess we'll see.

And yes, my hunch is that most Americans wouldn't be able to find Australia on a map much less the cities you mentioned. Even more so Afghanistan, which has generated so much hand-wringing after 20 years of ignoring it.
