As a parent who is married to a teacher, I assure you it's a safety issue.

The only people for whom it's a "culture" issue are the nutjobs who refuse to believe the obvious, data-driven recommendation that wearing them helps prevent the spread of communicable diseases like COVID. Or those who are willing to assume that COVID poses zero risk to children or their families.

Most of them not actual parents.
