No doubt the covid has improved things for me.
I built a house next to my mom and dad and they are both 90+ years old, in 2004. My office is at least an hour away because of Northern VA traffic. So I would leave in the dark mostly and come home in the dark. With this arrangement, I can feed my dad's sheep and goat year round and in the summer, I take care of his pool. He is pretty beat physically and my mom has dementia. So he has enough on his plate and I'm able to pitch in like I never could pre-covid except on weekends.
I feel for the people this has negatively impacted but for me, aside from some socialization play time and my yearly trips to France, this is so much better. And really, I don't need any play time, I've had quite a bit of that over the years, lol.
