The Dems are absolutely better. No question about that.

The Republicans 30 years ago were too. This group of Repubs are basically just a bunch of hacks who bought and paid for by a handful of rich assholes who demand absolute loyalty to them and scorched earth warfare against the dems or else -- compromise is not an option.

The Dems are bad, they are feckless and inept, and they can't get out of their own way....but they are light years better than today's GOP (which has become a failed state that is a master of obstruction and dirty partisan warfare, but wholly incapable of governing and flat out not allowed to reach across the aisle in the interests of the people.
