While I don't doubt there is corruption in Hartford, did you have any specific examples in mind, or were you just engaging in TrumpSpeak?

The terrible things about this tax plan are (1) the process by which it has been drafted and passed, virtually guaranteeing endless unintended effects, sloppy language crafting that will be the playground of tax pros, etc, and (2) the complete bullshit in calling this reform. Nothing at all was reformed. Rates came down a bit, a lot for C corps (which I favor), and repubs closed out dems and horse traded on deductions amongst themselves, but left the basic way we approach taxes unchanged. There was no reform, and we made negative progress towards tax simplicity. We are making it more complex.

All done to simply provide a president with a political accomplishment. Really, no other reason. And nobody knows how much of a personal gift this is to the president because we don't know his tax picture. All those using Hillary's fleecing of America to support the orange version of populism - apparently you're ok being fleeced by orange people. Like reverse racism or something.

All adding 1.5 trillion to the deficit by govt estimates, which are almost always low. That's another thing that disappears from the repub color spectrum when viewed through an orange lense - fiscal conservatism and responsibility.
