I just rewatched the Running Man last night. Aside from the general
silliness, corny lines and mindlessly entertaining action sequences, there are portions in there that are weirdly prescient. The President's agent, Ben Richard's court appointed theatrical agent, and of course, the constantly hyped and manipulative infotainment "news" and reality TV to keep the masses dulled. The tyrannical government took over in 2017, too.
OK, it ain't Network, which to my mind is the standard for predicting what television would become. But it's pretty heavy for an Arnold movie.
