In the pre-Trump world, we honored our agreements. In all facets of society, enforcement of contracts is about as critical as anything, whether you're buying a bottle of water or negotiating multi-national treaties. Repubs used to value that - more than dems, I once thought.

Trump is a full of shit nationalist who just spews baseless soundbites as he attempts to tear into all the post WWII institutions that helped win the Cold War and keep the world away from major conflagrations for well over half a century (those benefits you seemed to be struggling to recall in your top post). As you see from Matt's post, countries started in 2014. But that's not the point - as anyone with just a passing command of the facts will tell you, the US spends barely a pittance of its national defense budget on NATO. There is no burden on the taxpayer to reduce - Trump would be cutting defense rather than exponentially increasing it if that were his aim.

You love that word "deranged", which of course would really apply to nobody more than you - one who mindlessly repeats soundbites from a pathological liar out of tribal loyalty to a political party. Your loyalty isn't even to any sort of principle. As the repubs abandon their usual principles, adopting policies like trade wars which you'd have ridiculed as "deranged" if it were done by dems, you just hop on board. And this? My god - imagine Hillary:

1) widely accepted to have been helped by Russia in the 2016 election, which she won
2) verbally assaulting every traditional ally and institution which has contributed to our security, our allies' security, international prosperity, and world stability for about 3/4 a century
3) heads off for a NATO meeting, sniping with NATO on the way, and happily declaring that the meeting she was looking forward to most was with Putin.

Almost like she is trying to tear down the institution that was perhaps most critical to defeating the USSR in the Cold War, and is now perhaps the best check against Russian aggression (whether on the ground or in cyberspace), to give her buddy Vlad space to reassert his old Soviet /KGB glory.

Imagine your howls about treason, and jailing her, and impeaching her. Dear lord. Derangement doesn't being to describe your unbridled support for Trump. Deranged hypocrite gets closer. Deranged hypocrite who mindlessly parrots bullshit from orange people - now we're getting somewhere.

Seriously, you should lose that word for a while. You look like a one trick pony, who doesn't really understand his one trick.
