Probably have no idea what entitlements are; only a vague notion. They likely relate the word entitlement to snobby liberals, etc. So, by getting rid of “entitlements”, you get rid of them. Or they connect the word to free stuff that undeserving people are getting. So, he throws this out there and liberals react, thus, causing a reaction from his base. This keeps his voters engaged. He needs them all esp the ones who never really voted before. Those voters stay engaged by all the cultural type differences: bring up being PC, being woke, race related material, etc while playing on their sense of purpose and their station in life and saying look, you would be much better off if it wasn’t for so and so. By perusing Trumps(Parscale) strategy they are definitely trying to tap into that segment of voters who “hate politics” and are normally un-engaged. I know many people who could care less for politicians, they are all the same, etc and Trump has captured their attention. One part of his strategy.
