You realize this is just for cash bail. If they can come up

come up with 10%, the bail bondsman will guarantee the rest and they get released. Even before NYC ended cash bail, people posted cash bail and got released. You’re either ok with certain types of accused on the street pre trial or you’re not. Does cash bail make them any more or less likely to commit another crime?

I don’t think violent criminals should be released (cash or no cash Bail) but for non violent criminals, we were already willing to release them back into the general public once they posted bail. How does the fact that they posted cash bail make anyone safer?
