In a word...yep. However, it could be possible to maintain peace in divided

countries via real global peace keeping initiatives comprised of fully integrated coalitions and without alternative national objectives or these countries could be redrawn to maximize peace and minimize conflict. The US is probably not the country to initiate or oversee such a process.
