That’s a fair point. I haven’t really considered that aspect much.
I do believe that justice is served the vast majority of the time. Things can certainly slip through the cracks if there wasn’t video that goes viral though. In the case of police brutality, I think it is likely that cops could dodge charges by justifying their use of force. That’s why bodycams and other video are so important to keep them accountable.
As far as individual cases go, it’s hard to go into hypotheticals about what would have been different if the roles were reversed. So many variables go into that, but I think what you’re assuming would have been different is, unfortunately, very possible.
In Floyd’s case, justice was and will be served and it was quite quick when you consider everything involved. That makes me curious as to why people are rioting about this case when the murderer has already been charged. [Post edited by EmbraceThePace at 05/31/2020 7:55PM]
