I couldn't find any references to this elsewhere in terms of a study, so all I can go on is the google translate version of the article, which does not provide anywhere near enough data to conclude that ivermectin was the reason for the decreased mortality versus the rest of the province (was the population distribution in terms of age, comorbidities, etc. the same)? It also states that 7% of the people had to drop out because the side effects were "intolerable." That's a pretty piss poor percentage to support the claim that ivermectin is totally safe and harmless.
