From a political perspective, this is a bad move for the Republicans.

I warned of it 2 years ago, but some posters kept crying "fear mongering" for some unknown reason ... when the leadership of the GOP (namely Trump) kept reminding their voters what they were going to do with the new Justices.

I understand a repeal of Roe v. Wade will only give back the power back to the States. Unfortunately, it wasn't branded that way when Trump / some members of the GOP campaigned on it years ago ... especially on the selection of his THREE Supreme Court Justices. That perception will be a nightmare for the GOP.

Furthermore, some of the GOP majority states have already started moving against abortions with their legislative policies which won't help. Even Trump stayed away from abortion topic recently. He knows it's poison. We'll see if he can keep his mouth shut tonight.

I might be pro choice, but I can respect people who are pro life as long as they are consistent. Regardless, this has nothing to do with morality. The issue of abortion is political ... just like vaccines vs. no vaccine. Unfortunately, for the GOP, they picked the wrong side from a political perspective. Pandora's Box is open. It will be almost impossible to close unless the GOP helps change the law.
