Last I checked "genetic predisposition" is exactly NOT a lifestyle choice.


I hope you know the difference. Should smokers and non smokers pay the same rate? If you think yes, then any further discussion is probably pointless. Premiums should encourage people to healthier CHOICES. Genetics is not a choice. Smoking is.

As far as I am concerned birth control is not a religious issue, it's simply a coverage that I would choose not to purchase, like I mentioned mental health, substance abuse, etc.. I have suggested a supplemental family package. Call it whatever you want. I could choose a package that did not include birth control, childbirth.

There was a discussion earlier about the expensive premiums older people would pay... well if 60 year olds didn't have to buy childbirth insurance or pay for 26 year old "children" on other people's insurance then what happens? Make premiums reflect the cost of a demographic.
