What America is to most of them is an economy, a paycheck. For most
it's not political ideals or economic or religious freedom, it's simply about wages. It's not about the rule of law or they would be the first to respect that and they would have gone through the proper process. In that respect you are correct. They do not want to change America, they want to keep their high wages and lax enforcement.
I have posted on here several times that more than a political philosophy I think it is important that we respect the rule of law. I have spoken out against both Obama for not enforcing pot and immigration laws and Trump for not collecting the Obamacare tax. If we lose the rule of law we are lost as a society. So yes, it chaps my butt that my brother in law spent 10 or more years trying to get into the United States then more years to become a citizen while millions of people cross the border illegally. I say enforce the law.
