I agree, but I don't see how this bill addresses rising costs

If politicians put together a plan that fundamentally changes the way the medical profession is incentivized and how they make money, I'd be all for a legitimate debate on it. We don't pay doctors to make people healthy, we pay based on procedures, and certain procedures/medicines make them more money than others. Maybe we should pay doctors based on reducing procedures, or improving accident rates, or some other health based metrics - I'd be open for any ideas that place the emphasis on improving people's health. Pay people to exercise, or to make other healthy lifestyle choices. Anything to find ways to lower health costs is fine by me. But this bill doesn't seem to address any cost drivers, or at least any significant ones. If this bill doesn't address the problems with our healthcare industry, what good is it?

While Obamacare has its faults, it succeeded in reducing people without health insurance. On the whole, that's a good thing. Given that this bill doesn't help solve the health care industry's rising cost problems, I don't see the benefits of this bill.
