I understand there /ARE/ food deserts, but Charlottesville certainly isn't


one of them. The Barracks Road McDonalds (the one I'm talking about) is 50 yards from a grocery store that sells plenty of produce. So if I didn't see this on a daily basis, I might be willing to consider the primary culprit is environmental, but seeing what I see every day in an affluent, educated suburban town like Charlottesville, I believe it's national culture.
