Yes- Wayne LaPierre is a gun nut


Sounding a little unhinged these days...

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. I figured if we couldn't get anything done after Sandy Hook, the cause was lost until enough of the zealots died off. Clearly LaPierre believes the answer to everything is to add more guns to the system (will there be a gun or ammo tax?); not sure that's where the majority of Americans are these days. The cynic in me believes this will all fizzle out and we'll be right where we've been for years, but I'm hopeful that we can bring a little more common sense to the debate. Truly unfortunate that this organization carries so much weight... I'm still wondering why so many agree with this person's interpretation of the 2nd amendment, buy into the jack-booted thugs / socialist takeover theories- bizarre stuff (and I'm actually fine with responsible citizens owning firearms...).
