I'm not for removing all the guns. I'm for making it more difficult to buy

one. As difficult as it is to obtain a drivers license at the DMV for instance. Mandatory training required and refreshed in order to own firearms?

I'm just looking for any action at this point. I think it's pretty clear that status quo isn't cutting it. I'm also not for arming teachers. Instead of giving everyone guns, lets come up with something else.

And as far as the US citizens overthrowing the gov't. That's laughable. When the constitution was written, I could own the same musket the military used. My AR-15 against a JDAM isn't really going to work. If the gov't does declare war on me or you, we don't have a chance. The same document that outlines requirements to have a militia also didn't give women the right to vote and made a black slave 3/5'ths of a person.

The document and people that wrote it were very fallible. Why people can choose to ignore those specific issues but then can hold the 2A sacrosanct above all others, and I believe, above people's right to life never ceases to amaze me.
